REALITY OF THE NOW
A person
With nothing to believe in
Lives in the past . . .
Clinging to memories
For daily sustenance.
Another . . . with a
Great expectation
Seeks the future . . .
Longing for a miracle
That would alter his life.
A few . . . stand with arms
Extending in both directions
But . . . with their feet
Firmly placed in the Now
Where time and space converge
Bringing to focus today's moments
To create tomorrow's reality.

FIRST POEM ~ AGE NINE
God created and made this world,
Perfecting the human race.
He molded out of earth and stone
This land we now embrace.
It's hard for anyone to imagine
Or even try to see
How He should place upon this earth
People as small as we.
Not small in stature, size or build,
But merely small in mind
Who cannot in their hearts conceive
How He meant us to be kind;
To treat each other with respect,
To honor the Divine within,
To give our love . . . unqualified
Again, again . . . and again.
