The Smile Book

This book started as a list of things that made me smile. They had been popping in my head for weeks and I was always too busy to write them down. Once I began writing, I was surprised at how many things make me smile . . . How many diverse things come to mind . . . and how many memories carried smiles with them right into the present.

As I wrote I had one rule: Nothing could go on the list that demeaned or diminished anyone. Smiles have to have quality. Smiles have to have joy.

Here are some of my smiles:

If you smile at one on my list, it becomes your own.

If it trigges other smiles for you,
then maybe the world is a better place today.

Don't lock your smiles away ---- pass them on!!!

	Birch trees.
	Teddy Bears.
	Skin colored bandaids--cause they aren't the color of anybody's skin.
	Fax machines.
	Rain now that I have a new roof.
	Tinker Bell.
	Dumbo.
	Mighty Mouse.
	Thumper.
	Peter Sellers in any "Pink Panther" movie.
	Casper the Friendly Ghost.
	Nut Goodies.
	Shiny new pennies.
	Mud puddles.
	Cherry Life Savers.

	Automatic garage door openers.
	Cappuccino.
	Immaculate Conception Maternity Home.
	Is there Muzak in an empty elevator?
	Coke in the original 8 oz. style bottle.
	Magic Wands
	Glitter.
	Halos.
	A preschool ballerina.
	Toads.
	Doing cart-wheels.
	Bushy eyebrows.
	English bulldogs.

	New fallen snow.
	Making angels in the snow.
	Waiting for the first star to twinkle on a clear night.
